My name is Nell MacBean and I live in Cardross, Argyll and Bute, Scotland.

In 1970 my late husband, Seumas, and I purchased our first deerhound from Miss Anastasia Noble - a dog - Claymore of Ardkinglas.

This deerhound was to change our life forever. We were hooked!.
A second dog - Ardkinglas Quickstep was bought from Miss Noble in 1973.

The first bitch arrived at Killoeter in 1974 - Ardkinglas Bruaich - a daughter of Claymore. Bruaich was mated to Quickstep and all Killoeter hounds are descended from this litter.

I both show and course dogs and I am a member of The Deerhound Club Committee and cup steward of the club.

I am now married to Donald MacBean (seen below with Tor) and the deerhounds share our home with Donald's gundogs, we hope to add some pictures soon.
